After experimenting with the rolling of the graph/trace paper I started putting them together in different ways and making different length rolls. Discovering they had a tutu esque feel about them I thought I would string them all together or sew them onto a long piece of material. After trying the stringing I decided the sewing would be much more durable. After sewing each rolls end onto the material (EVENTUALLY!!) I then sewed that piece onto an pink sequinned thick elasticated piece so the fitting would be adjustable.
I then attatched the brace straps, for which I used the same elasticated sequinned pink but a bit thinner, sewing each end to the back with buttons at the front, allowing a variety of different wearable ways.
I then popped the skirt onto the stand, and gave the 'Paper Tutu' a bit more colour by flicking a variety of differnt acrylic colours onto it and attatching a few plaits and strips of material, keeping within the pink, bright theme.
I think my spur of the moment Paper Tutu has worked really well, looks attractive and will be very good to photograph on the girls both in colour and black and white because of the different tones within it.
